Many people (myself included) have probably known someone who has had to battle with a disease like cancer potentially fatal. If some of us have known and close to these people, others have had the experience of these diseases themselves. Will Reiser is the screenwriter for "50/joining and is one of those who have had to treat a disease itself, while his real life friend Seth Rogan was to show support for him during his time of need to potentially fatal." This film is based on the experience of Reiser own of cancer and speaks many things that people in these situations can go through.
Adam (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a 27 year old male, who recently began having headaches of troublesome back. When he goes to the hospital, he discovers that he has cancer. After telling his girlfriend (Bryce Dallas Howard), his best friend (Seth Rogan) and with hesitation telling his very emotional mother (Anjelica Huston), it tries to take this head on and in the wake. Mother of Adam is not only with the illness of his son, but it is also dealing with her husband (Serge Houde) disease of Alzheimer's, and that just complicates any even more. Because of this, Adam is also obliged to address the issues of life and discovers that will really be there for him when times are more stringent.
This film is classified as a television. With that said, it was certainly more focused the comical aspect than anything else. The comedy in "50/joining has been incredible, and incredibly funny." Seth Rogan was at its most funny in my opinion and Joseph Gordon-Levitt more held its own in comical situations he was placed in. Philip Baker Hall and Matt Frewer was able to fly much laughter themselves in their scenes as patients of cancer companions who become friends with Adam. The bottom line is that these two and the rest of the distribution have been without fault in the delivery of the comedy in the film. In particular, Gordon-Levitt has done a wonderful job portraying whatever script requested of him. With this performance, he continues to establish itself as a great actor.
Despite the film being more comedy, drama was still a very important part of the film. It is usually presented to the viewer in a very real and emotional way. Not only that, but it comes from many different angles. Either from the point of view of his parents, his best friend or his girlfriend, the drama has been shown through the way in which Adam people treated with a disease that can affect anyone. He also showed how Adam himself had to address the issue of the time when it is first a diagnosis and throughout the end of the film.
"50/joining may be the film rated r more innocent and delicious that I've never seen before.". It was strange watching a film that is clearly evaluated properly, be positive and edifying. Finally, I liked this film lot. Not only was the funniest film I've seen all year, but he was also behind "Warrior" as my favorite film of the year so far. With a smart script, good and perfect casting, directing this film does not have any negative that I can think of and seems to be hitting on all cylinders. "50/joining is not only a great movie, but it is also an I really understand on a personal level.". I thought originally not even watch this movie, but I am happy that I did. It is certainly a film is worth watching.
